Tire Maintenance

Entretien des pneus

To ensure even wear of the front and rear tyres on the vehicle and to extend their service life, it is recommended that the front and rear tyres are rotated at regular intervals, between 5,000 and 10,000 kilometres (3,000 and 6,000 miles).

WARNING

Avoid rubbing the tyre sidewalls against kerbs when parking.

If you have to drive over a kerb, do so slowly and with the tyres at right angles to the kerb.

Regularly inspect the tyres for cuts, foreign objects and uneven tread wear. Uneven wear may indicate incorrect wheel alignment settings.

Check the tyre pressures (including the spare wheel) every two weeks when the tyres are cold.

Using winter tyres

If you use winter tyres, inflate them to the pressure shown in the tyre pressure table. See Tyre Pressures (page 271).
