WARNINGS

  • This system does not relieve you of your responsibility to drive with appropriate attention and care.
  • You are responsible at all times for controlling your vehicle, for monitoring the system and for taking any necessary action.
  • If the sensor is blocked, the system may not function.

Note: The system may not function in cold weather and in difficult weather conditions. Rain, snow, spray and strong lighting contrasts can prevent the sensor from working correctly. Note: Do not carry out windshield repairs in the area directly around the sensor. Note: If your vehicle is equipped with a suspension kit not approved by Ford, the system may not function correctly. Note: Always fit genuine Ford parts when replacing headlamp bulbs. Using other bulbs may reduce system performance. Note: Keep the windshield free of foreign matter such as bird droppings, insects, snow or ice. Note: The system may not detect all traffic signs or may interpret them incorrectly. Note: The system is designed to automatically detect signs that comply with the Vienna Convention criteria. Note: The road sign data provided by the navigation system includes information built into the version supplied by the data provider.

A sensor is mounted behind the interior rear view mirror. It continuously monitors road signs to show you the current speed limit and overtaking rules.

The system automatically detects recognisable signs, such as:

  • speed limit signs;
  • no overtaking signs;
  • end of speed limit signs.

When the system recognises a sign, it is displayed on the screen.
