The height and weight of adolescents usually allow them to use the standard diagonal lap belts and position them correctly (see pages 71 and 72).

However, if the child's height and weight do not allow the child to be correctly positioned on the seat (with or without an additional child booster cushion), the child must be seated in the rear seat.
