After the driver and passengers have taken their seats in the vehicle, make sure that all vehicle doors are securely closed.

The multi-information display contains a door open indicator that warns that a side door or the liftgate is not fully closed. The indicator illuminates if any door is open.

If any side door or the liftgate is open while the ignition switch is in the ON (II) position, a warning chime will sound.

If only the liftgate is not closed, the indicator will appear as shown in the figure.

The indicator illuminates if any side door or the liftgate is not closed. The indicator status depends on which doors remain open.
