Inspection

  1. Check the condenser fins for blockage and damage. If blocked, wash them with water and blow out with compressed air. If bent, carefully straighten them using a screwdriver or pliers.
  2. Check the condenser connections for leaks and repair or replace them as necessary.

Replacement

  1. Recover the refrigerant using a refrigerant recovery/recycling/recharging station.
  2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  3. Remove the front bumper. (Refer to Body - "Front Bumper Cover")
  4. Remove the hood latch assembly. (Refer to Body - "Front Wheel Guard")
  5. Loosen the retaining pin clips and bolts, then remove the side air intake (A). [Left]
    [RH]
  6. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the duct bracket (A).
  7. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the upper radiator mounting bracket (A).
  8. Remove the condenser (A) from the radiator.
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
