  3. Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from the front hub.

    Tightening Torque: 107.9 ~ 128 N·m

    • Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the front wheel and tire (A).
  4. Disconnect the stabilizer link from the front strut assembly after loosening the nut (A).

    Tightening torque: 98.1 ~ 118 N·m

    • When loosening the nut (A), hold the outer hex of the stabilizer bar link. Be careful not to damage the stabilizer bar boots.
  5. Remove the tie rod end ball joint.
    1. Remove the cotter pin (C).
    2. Loosen the nut (B).
    3. Using SST (09568-1S100), separate the ball joint (A) from the steering knuckle.

    Tightening Torque: 23.5 ~ 33 N·m

  6. Loosen the lower arm nut (A) and separate the lower arm ball joint using SST (09568-1S100).

    Tightening Torque: 58.8 ~ 71 N·m

Do not reuse the lower arm lock nut (A).
  7. Loosen the bolt (A) and disconnect the universal joint assembly from the steering gear.

    Tightening torque: 32.4 ~ 37 N·m

    • Do not reuse the bolt.
    • Lock the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position to prevent damage to the clock spring internal cable.
    • During installation, insert the cotter pin into the groove of the universal joint as shown in the illustration below.
  8. Remove the roller rod stopper (A) by loosening the bolt and nut.

    Tightening Torque: 107.9 ~ 128 N·m

  9. Remove the muffler rubber mount (A).
  10. Remove the subframe by loosening the mounting bolts and nuts. Tightening torque Subframe mounting bolts and nuts: 156.9 ~ 176 N·m (16.0 ~ 18.0 kgf·m, 115.7 ~ 130.2 ft-lbf) Subframe mounting bolt: 44.1 ~ 54 N·m
    • Install a transmission jack for safety.
  11. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the stabilizer bar (A).

    Tightening torque: 44.1 ~ 54 N·m

  12. Remove the protector (A).

    Tightening torque: 6.9 ~ 10.8 N·m

  13. Remove the steering gear from the front subframe by loosening the mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 88.2 ~ 108 N·m

  14. Remove the front lower arm (A) after loosening the bolts and nuts. Tightening torque Front: 117.7 ~ 137 N·m Rear: 156.9 ~ 176 N·m (16.0 ~ 18.0 kgf·m, 115.7 ~ 130.2 ft-lbf)
  15. . Remove the idler arm bracket (A).

    Tightening Torque: 49.0 ~ 64 N·m

  16. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  17. Check the front alignment. (Refer to Suspension System - "Front Wheel Alignment")
