When the front windshield where the front view camera is located is covered with foreign materials such as snow or rain, this may reduce detection performance and temporarily limit or disable the Intelligent Speed Limit Assist.
If this occurs, the "Speed Limit Assist System Degraded. Camera Blocked" warning message will appear on the cluster.
The function will operate normally when snow, rain, or foreign materials are removed.
If the function does not operate normally after removing them, we recommend that the system be inspected by an authorized Hyundai dealer.
WARNING
- Even if the warning message or indicator light does not illuminate on the cluster, the Intelligent Speed Limit Assist may operate incorrectly.
- If the detection sensor becomes contaminated immediately after starting the engine, the system may not operate properly.
Limitations of the Function
The Intelligent Speed Limit Assist may not operate normally, or the system may activate unexpectedly under the following circumstances:
- The road sign is dirty or not recognizable.
-- The road sign is difficult to see due to bad weather, such as rain, snow, fog, etc.
-- The road sign is unclear or damaged.
-- The road sign is partially blocked by surrounding objects or shadow. - Road signs do not conform to standards.
-- The text or image on the road sign differs from the standard.
-- The road sign is installed between the main line and an exit ramp, or between diverging roads.
-- The road sign is not installed with a plate located on the entrance or exit road.
-- The sign is attached to another vehicle. - The brightness changes suddenly, for example when entering or exiting a tunnel or driving under a bridge.
- The headlights are not in use, or the headlight brightness is low at night or in a tunnel.
- Road signs are difficult to recognize due to reflection of sunlight, street lights, or oncoming vehicles.
- The front view camera field of view is blocked by sun glare.
- Driving on a road with sharp curves or continuous curves.
- Driving over speed bumps or up and down or side to side on steep slopes.
- The vehicle shakes strongly.
WARNING
- The Intelligent Speed Limit Assist system is an additional system that helps the driver observe the speed limit on the road. It may not display the correct speed limit or control the vehicle speed correctly.
- Always set the vehicle speed to the speed limit in your driving area.
