Setting

Safe Exit Assist

With the engine on, select "Driver Assistance → Blind-Spot Safety → Safe Exit Assist (SEA)" from the settings menu to turn on the Safe Exit Warning, and deselect it to turn off the feature.

WARNING

The driver should always be aware of unexpected and sudden situations. If "Safe Exit Assist" is not selected, the feature cannot help you.

Information

If the engine is restarted, the Safe Exit Warning will retain the last setting.

Warning Timing

With the engine running, select "Driver Assistance → Warning Timing" from the Settings menu to change the initial warning activation timing for the Blind-Spot Safety system.

When the vehicle is first delivered, the Warning Timing is set to "Normal". If you change the warning timing, the warning timing of other driver assistance systems may change.

Warning Volume

With the engine running, select "Driver Assistance → Warning Volume" from the Settings menu to change the warning volume to "High", "Medium" or "Low" for the Blind-Spot Safety system.

If you change the warning volume, the warning volume of other driver assistance systems may also change.

CAUTION

  • The warning timing setting and warning volume apply to all Safe Exit Warning features.
  • Even if "Normal" is selected for the warning timing, if a vehicle approaches quickly from behind, the initial warning activation timing may seem late.
  • Select "Late" for Warning Timing when traffic is light and driving speed is slow.

Information

If the engine is restarted, the Warning Timing and Warning Volume will keep the last setting.
