MANUAL TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL INSPECTION

Check the transmission for oil leaks.

Check the transmission oil level by removing the filler plug. If the oil is contaminated, drain the oil and fill with new oil.

1. With the vehicle on a level horizontal surface, remove the filler plug and make sure the oil level is at the lower edge of the filler opening (filler plug hole).

2. Check the transmission oil for contamination.

MANUAL TRANSMISSION OIL REPLACEMENT

1. With the vehicle on a level horizontal surface, remove the magnetic drain plug and drain the oil from the transmission.

2. Install a new gasket and reinstall the magnetic drain plug.

3. Fill with new oil through the filler plug hole up to the lower edge of the filler opening.
