Wiring Inspection

1. Check that the connector terminals are securely seated.
2. Check the connector terminals and wires for corrosion caused by battery electrolyte or similar contamination.
3. Check the connector terminals and wires for open circuits.
4. Check the wire coverings and insulation for damage, cracks (cuts) and deterioration.
5. Check that the conductive parts of the connector terminals do not contact any metal parts (vehicle body or other components).
6. Check the parts grounded to the body and make sure there is a secure ground circuit between the mounting bolt and the vehicle body.
7. Check that the wiring is routed and connected correctly.
8. Check that the wiring is secured with clips so it does not contact sharp body edges or similar parts, or heated components (exhaust manifold, etc.).
9. Check that the wiring is securely clipped and kept a sufficient distance from the cooling fan, fan belt and other rotating or moving parts.
10. Check that the wiring is clipped with enough slack to allow it to move between fixed and moving parts (for example, the vehicle body and the engine) without tension.
