Body Dimension Measurement
BODY DIMENSION MEASUREMENT
1. Most body dimensions given in this manual are measured in a straight line using a vernier caliper.
2. When measuring with a tape measure, make sure the tape is not twisted or bent and does not contact any parts.
3. This manual gives both direct dimensions and datum point dimensions for body measurement.
DATUM POINT DIMENSIONS
1. This type of measurement is used when the points to be measured protrude from the vehicle surface. These dimensions are used as reference values for body repair.

2. When measuring with a vernier caliper with adjustable probe length, the measured value is the maximum distance between two points, excluding the difference in probe length (the difference in height of the datum point surfaces).
DIRECT DIMENSION MEASUREMENT
1. These dimensions show the actual straight-line distance between measured points lying in the same plane, and are used as reference values for vernier caliper measurements.
2. Before measuring, adjust the caliper probes so that their lengths are equal (A' = A).

MEASUREMENT REFERENCE POINT
Measurements must be taken between the centers of the holes.
