Removal and Installation

[Air Cleaner Assembly]
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable from the battery.
  2. Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")
  3. Remove the engine room cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")
  4. Remove the front strut (A).
  5. Remove the air intake hose and the air cleaner assembly.
    1. Disconnect the IATS connector (A).
    2. Disconnect the breather hose (B).
    3. Disconnect the vacuum hose (C).
    4. Remove the air intake hose (D) and the air cleaner assembly (E).
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  7. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable from the battery.
  8. Remove the engine cover.
  9. Remove the engine room cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Cover")
  10. Remove the front strut (A).
  11. Remove the air cleaner cap fixing clips, then remove the air cleaner element (A).
  12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
