Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes before starting work.
  2. Remove the emergency pad lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Emergency Pad Lower Panel")
  3. Remove the mounting nuts (A).
  4. Remove the screws (A) and the connector (B).
  5. Press the clip (A) to remove the knee airbag module.

Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least three minutes.
  2. Install the knee airbag.

    Tightening torque: 7.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

  3. Install the lower emergency panel. (Refer to Body - "Lower Emergency Panel")
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. After installing the knee airbag, check that the system operates correctly. Turn the ignition ON; the SRS indicator should illuminate for approximately six seconds, then go off.
