Adjustment

TCM Learning

TCM learning must be performed when a shift shock occurs or when transmission-related parts are replaced. TCM learning is required in the following cases.
  • Transaxle Assembly Replacement
  • TCM Replacement
  • TCM Upgrade
  1. TCM Learning Conditions
    A. ATF temperature: 30 ~ 95 °C
  2. TCM Learning Procedure
    A. Stop learning
    • Repeat the shift pattern shown below four or more times with the brake applied.
    B. Driving Learning
    1. Upshift one gear at a time from 1st to 8th while maintaining a constant throttle opening.
    2. Gradually reduce speed and downshift one gear at a time from 8th to 1st.
    3. Repeat the driving pattern above four or more times. Throttle opening during upshift: 15-30%
