Power windows

~1min read

The ignition switch must be in the ON position for the power windows to operate. Each door has a switch that controls its window. The driver has a lock switch that can disable the passengers' window operation.

The windows can operate for about 30 seconds after the key is removed or turned to ACC or LOCK. However, if either front door is opened, the windows will not operate within 30 seconds after the key is removed.

NOTE

When driving with the rear windows lowered or the sunroof open (or partially open), the vehicle may buffet from wind or produce pulsating noise. This noise is normal and can be reduced or eliminated as follows.

If the noise occurs with one or both rear windows, lower both front windows slightly, about 3 cm. If the noise occurs with the sunroof open, reduce the sunroof opening slightly.
