Opening the fuel filler cap cover

The fuel filler door must be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling the fuel filler door release lever.

If the fuel filler cap cover does not open because of ice forming around it, tap or press on the cover to break the ice and free it. Do not force the cover. If necessary, spray an de-icer solution around the cover (do not use engine coolant antifreeze) or move the vehicle to a warm place to allow the ice to melt.

1. Stop the engine.

2. To open the fuel filler cap cover, pull it by the protrusion.

3. Open the fuel filler door (1).

4. To remove the cap (2), turn it counterclockwise.

5. Refuel as necessary.
