WARNING - Refuelling - Always make sure the cap is installed securely to prevent fuel leakage in the event of an accident. WARNING - Refuelling hazards Motor fuels are flammable materials. When refuelling, carefully follow these guidelines. If they are not followed, you may suffer serious personal injury, burns or death from fire or explosion. - Read and observe the warnings posted at the filling station. - Before refuelling, locate the refuelling emergency shut-off, if available, at the station. - Before touching the pump, discharge potentially dangerous static electricity by touching a metal part of the vehicle, at a safe distance from the pump, dispenser or other refuelling source. - Do not get back into the vehicle once refuelling has started, as static electricity can be generated by touching, rubbing or sliding over an element or fabric (polyester, satin, nylon, etc.) capable of producing static electricity. A static discharge can ignite fuel vapours, causing a fire quickly. If you need to re-enter the vehicle, discharge potentially dangerous static electricity again by touching a metal part of the vehicle, away from the pump, dispenser or other fuel sources. - When using an approved fuel container, place it on the ground before refuelling. A static discharge from the container can ignite fuel vapours and cause a fire. Once refuelling has started, maintain contact with the vehicle until the operation is complete. Use only approved plastic containers designed to transport and store petrol. - Do not use a mobile phone while refuelling. The electrical current and/or electronic interference from mobile phones could ignite fuel vapours, causing a fire. - Always switch off the engine while refuelling. Sparks from electrical components related to the engine can ignite fuel vapours and cause a fire. Once refuelling is complete, make sure the fuel filler cap and cap cover are closed securely before starting the engine. - Do NOT use matches or lighters and do NOT SMOKE or leave lit cigarettes in the vehicle when at a service station, especially while refuelling. Motor fuel is highly flammable and, when ignited, can cause a fire. - If a fire breaks out during refuelling, move away from the vehicle and immediately contact the service station attendant, then the fire brigade. Follow all safety instructions given by them. NOTICE - Make sure to refuel only with unleaded petrol (or leaded petrol in certain countries). (Petrol engine only) - If the fuel filler cap needs to be replaced, it is recommended to use parts supplied by an authorised HYUNDAI dealer. An incorrect cap may cause serious malfunctions in the fuel system or emissions control system. - Do not spill fuel on the exterior surfaces of the vehicle. Any type of fuel spilled on painted surfaces may damage the paint. - After refuelling, make sure the fuel filler cap is tightly closed to prevent fuel leakage in the event of an accident.
