Vehicles with a manual transmission should not be push-started, as this may damage the emission control system.

Vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission cannot be push-started.

Follow the instructions in this section for jump-starting with another battery.

WARNING Do not tow the vehicle to start it, as the sudden forward movement caused by the engine starting may cause a collision with the towing vehicle.
