Transmitter precautions
NOTE
The transmitter will not work in the following cases:
- The ignition key is in the ignition switch.
- The operating range limit (approx. 30 m) is exceeded.
- The transmitter battery is discharged.
- Other vehicles or objects are blocking the signal.
- The temperature is extremely hot.
- The transmitter is near a radio transmitter, such as a radio station or airport, that interferes with normal transmitter operation.
If the transmitter does not work properly, open and close the door with the ignition key. If you have a problem with the transmitter, it is recommended that you contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- If the transmitter is near your mobile phone or smartphone, the proper operation of the transmitter signal may be inhibited by the normal operation of the mobile phone or smartphone. This is especially important when the phone is in use, e.g.
while making or receiving a call, receiving text messages and/or sending/receiving emails. Avoid placing the transmitter and your mobile phone or smartphone in the same trouser or jacket pocket, and keep an adequate distance between the two devices.
NOTICE Keep the transmitter away from water or other liquids. If the smart key does not work due to exposure to water or liquids, it is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. NOTICE Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party may void the user's authority to operate the equipment. If the smart key does not work due to changes or modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party, it is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
