Head Restraint

~1min read

Both the front and rear seats are equipped with adjustable head restraints. Head restraints are designed not only to provide comfort for occupants but, more importantly, to protect occupants from neck and other spinal injuries in a collision, especially in a rear-end impact.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of serious injury or death in the event of an accident, observe the following precautions when adjusting the head restraints:

  • Always properly adjust the head restraints for all occupants BEFORE driving the vehicle.
  • NEVER allow anyone to occupy a seat without a head restraint.
  • Adjust the head restraint so that its center is at the same height as the top of the ears.
  • NEVER adjust the driver's head restraint position while the vehicle is in motion.
  • Also adjust the head restraint as close to your head as possible. Do not use a seat cushion that pushes your body away from the seatback.
  • Make sure the head restraint is locked after adjustment to properly protect the occupants.

NOTICE

To avoid damage, NEVER strike or pull on the head restraints.

WARNING

If there are no passengers in the rear seats, lower the head restraints of these seats as far as possible to improve rearward visibility.
