Seat Warmers (if equipped)

~1min read

The seat warmers are designed to warm the seats in cold weather.

WARNING

Even at low temperatures, the seat warmers may cause burns, especially with prolonged use.

Occupants should be able to feel whether the seat is becoming too hot so they can turn it off if necessary. Persons who cannot detect temperature changes or feel pain in the skin should take special care, especially the following types of occupants:

  • Infants, children, the elderly, or disabled or recovering persons.
  • Persons with sensitive skin or those who sunburn easily.
  • People who are ill.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol or psychotropic substances.
  • Persons taking medication that causes drowsiness.

WARNING

To prevent overheating of the heated seat, do not place anything that insulates against heat, such as blankets, cushions, or seat covers, on the seat while the seat warmer is on. This may cause the seat warmer to overheat, and the seat warmer may cause burns or damage.

NOTICE

To prevent damage to the seats and seat warmers:

  • Do not use organic solvents such as thinner, benzene, alcohol, and gasoline when cleaning the seats.
  • Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped with a seat warmer system.
  • Do not modify the seat upholstery. This may damage the heater wire.

With the engine running and the ignition key in the ON position, press either button to heat the driver's or passenger's seat.

At moderate temperatures or when the seat warmer is off, keep the switches in the OFF position.

• Each time you press the switch, the seat temperature setting changes as follows:

• When the ignition is turned on, the seat warmers are off by default.

Intelligent

When the seat warmer switch is in the ON position, the seat warmer system turns off or on automatically depending on the seat temperature.
