Front Seats

~1min read

The front seat can be adjusted using the adjustment levers located on the outside of the seat cushion. Before driving, adjust the seat to the correct position for best control of the steering wheel, pedals, and switches located on the instrument panel.

WARNING

When adjusting the seat, observe the following precautions:

  • NEVER attempt to adjust the seat while the vehicle is in motion. The seat may move unexpectedly, which could result in loss of vehicle control and cause an accident.
  • Do not leave anything under the front seats. Objects left loose in the driver's footwell may interfere with pedal operation and may cause an accident.
  • Never allow anything to interfere with the normal position of the seatback, and make sure it is locked properly.
  • Gas may be released from the cigarette lighter when moving the seat, which may cause a fire.
  • Be extremely careful when removing small objects stuck under the seats or between the seat and the center console. The sharp edges of the seat mechanism may cut you or damage your hand.
  • If passengers are seated in the rear seats, be careful when adjusting the front seat.

WARNING

To avoid injury:

  • Do not attempt to adjust the seat while wearing the seat belt. Moving the seat cushion forward may cause severe pressure on the abdomen.
  • Be careful not to pinch your hands or other objects in the seat mechanisms when moving the seat.
