Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle - "Engine Cover")
  2. Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner")
  3. Remove the intercooler outlet hose (A).
  4. Separate the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) unit. (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - ETC System (Electronic Throttle Control))
  5. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (A) and the vacuum hose (B).
  6. Remove the coolant return tube mounting bolt (B).

    Torque: 19.6 ~ 26 N·m

  7. Remove the engine undercover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Undercover")
  8. Remove the wiring connector bracket (A).
  9. Remove the intake manifold bracket (A).

    Tightening torque: 18.6~24 N·m

  10. Remove the intake manifold (A) with the gasket.

    Tightening torque: 18.6~24 N·m

  11. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
