ISG System Malfunction

The system may stop operating if:

A fault occurs in the ISG system sensors or in the system itself.

The following will happen:

• The yellow AUTO STOP indicator () on the instrument cluster keeps illuminated after flashing for 5 seconds.

• The ISG OFF button indicator illuminates.

Intelligent

• If the ISG OFF button indicator does not turn off when the button is pressed again, or if the ISG system does not operate properly, we recommend that you contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
• When the ISG OFF button indicator illuminates, it may turn off if your vehicle is driven at a speed of approximately 80 km/h for a maximum of two hours and the ventilation control knob is set below position 2. If the ISG OFF button indicator remains illuminated despite performing this procedure, we advise you to contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Intelligent

If you want to use the ISG function, the drum sensor must be calibrated for approximately 4 hours (ignition OFF), then start and stop the engine 2 or 3 times.

WARNING

When the engine is in idle stop mode, it can be restarted without driver intervention.

Stop the engine by turning the ignition key to the LOCK (OFF) position or remove the key before exiting the vehicle or performing any work in the engine compartment.
