Automatic start

To restart the engine from idle stop

• Depress the clutch pedal when the gear shift lever is in Neutral (N).
• The message "Press clutch pedal for auto start" appears on the LCD display.
• The engine starts and the green AUTO STOP indicator light () on the instrument cluster turns off.

In addition, the engine restarts automatically without driver intervention in the following cases:

- Air conditioning is on and the blower speed of the manual air conditioning system is set above position 3.
- Air conditioning is on and the blower speed of the automatic climate control system is set above position 6.
- When the climate control system is activated and a certain time has passed.
- When the defroster is on.
- Low brake vacuum level.
- Battery is discharged.
- Vehicle speed exceeds 5 km/h.

The green AUTO STOP indicator ( ) on the instrument cluster flashes for 5 seconds, and the message "Auto Start" appears on the LCD screen.
