Inspection
In the CONTACT 1 ON state, when the multifunction switch module detects an activated automatic light switch, the tail lamp relay output and the low beam relay output are controlled by the automatic light sensor input function. Automatic lighting control does not operate if the power supply to the sun sensor pin (5 V regulated power from ignition 1 to the solar collector) is shorted to ground. If CONTACT 1 is ON, the BCM monitors the range of this power supply and detects a fault as soon as the supply voltage goes outside the permissible limits. When this fault occurs and for as long as it exists, the headlamps must be turned on regardless of the natural light level provided by the sensor. This prevents the headlamps from being switched off in the event of a failure at night.DEPOSIT
