Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the engine undercover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Undercover")
  2. Remove the drive belt. (Refer to Valve Timing System - "Drive Belt")
  3. Remove the idler gear (A).

    Tightening torque: 53.9 ~ 64 N·m

  4. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

Inspection

Check the tensioner pulley for oil leaks, abnormal rotation or vibration. Replace if necessary.
