Rear Parking Assist System

The rear parking assist system sounds an audible warning when it detects an obstacle located within 120 cm (47 in.) of the rear of the vehicle. This system is a supplementary system that detects objects only within the detection area and close to the sensors. It cannot detect objects in areas where sensors are not installed.

WARNING

• Always perform a visual check to make sure nothing is blocking the vehicle before moving in any direction to avoid a collision.
• Always use extreme caution when driving near objects on the road, especially pedestrians and, in particular, children.
• Note that some objects may not be detected by the sensors due to the distance between the object and the vehicle, the size of the object, or material on the sensor. All of these factors may limit the effectiveness of the sensors.
