Low Tire Pressure Warning Light

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System warning light and a warning message on the LCD screen illuminate when one or more tires are dangerously under-inflated. The position indicator warning message allows you to see which tire is under-inflated by the illumination of the corresponding position indicator.
If one of the warning lights illuminates or a warning message appears on the LCD screen, reduce speed immediately, avoid abrupt steering maneuvers, and allow extra braking distance. Stop as soon as possible and check your tires immediately.
Inflate the tires to the pressure specified on the label located on the center pillar (driver's side).
If you cannot reach a service station or if the tire is dangerously deflated, replace the under-inflated tire with the spare tire.
After replacing a low-pressure tire with the spare tire, one of the following situations occurs:
- The TPMS malfunction indicator will flash for approximately 1 minute and then remain on continuously, because the TPMS sensor is not installed on the spare wheel. (Replacing a tire without a sensor present in the vehicle)
- The TPMS malfunction indicator will remain on continuously while driving because the TPMS sensor on the replacement wheel is not installed. (Replacing a tire with a sensor present in the vehicle)
NOTICE
In winter or cold weather, the low tire pressure warning light may illuminate. The light illuminates if the tire pressure was adjusted to the recommended pressure in hot weather. This does not mean that your TPMS is malfunctioning. In fact, tire pressure decreases in proportion to the drop in temperature.
When traveling from a warm region to a cold one, or vice versa, or if the outside temperature is very high or low, check the tire pressure and inflate the tires to the recommended pressure.
WARNING
Damage caused by underinflated tires
Driving on underinflated tires is dangerous. It makes the vehicle unstable and may cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle and increase braking distance.
If you drive for a long time on underinflated tires, they may overheat and be damaged.
