Rear View Monitor

Hyundai Ioniq. Driver Assist System
Hyundai Ioniq. Driver Assist System

The rear view monitor is activated when the vehicle is in the ready (Hyundai Ioniq. Driver Assist System) mode and the shift lever is moved to R (Reverse).

This is an optional system that helps provide a view of the area behind the vehicle through the A/V display when the vehicle is in R (Reverse).

WARNING

The rear view monitor is not a safety device. It only assists the driver in identifying objects located directly behind the center of the vehicle. The monitor does NOT cover the entire area behind the vehicle.

WARNING

  • Never rely solely on the rear view monitor when backing up.
  • ALWAYS inspect the area around the vehicle to make sure there are no objects or obstacles before moving the vehicle in any direction to prevent a collision.
  • Always pay special attention when the vehicle is moving near objects, especially pedestrians, and especially children.

NOTICE

Always keep the monitor lens clean. The monitor may malfunction if the lens is covered with dirt, water, or snow.
