If your vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, you can slide or tilt the sunroof using the sunroof control switch located on the overhead console.

The sunroof can be opened, closed, or tilted only when the ENGINE START/STOP button is in the ON position.

The sunroof can be operated for approximately 30 seconds after the ENGINE START/STOP button is turned to the ACC or OFF position.

However, if the front door is opened, the sunroof cannot be operated even within 30 seconds.

Information

  • In cold and humid climates, the sunroof may not operate properly due to freezing conditions.
  • After washing the vehicle or driving in rain, be sure to wipe off any water that has collected on the sunroof before using it.

WARNING

  • Never adjust the sunroof or sunshade while driving. This may cause loss of vehicle control, resulting in a traffic accident.
  • Make sure that your head, other body parts, or objects do not interfere with the sunroof.
  • Do not leave the engine running and the key in the vehicle unattended. Unattended children may operate the sunroof, which may result in serious injury.
  • Do not sit on the roof of the vehicle. This may result in injury or damage to the vehicle.

NOTICE

  • To prevent damage to the sunroof and motor, do not press the sunroof control switch after the sunroof is in the fully open, fully closed, or tilt position(s).
  • When leaving the vehicle, make sure the sunroof is fully closed. If the sunroof remains open, rain or snow may enter and wet the interior of the vehicle. Also, leaving the sunroof open when the vehicle is unattended may result in theft.
