Power Windows

~1min read

The Engine Start/Stop button must be in the ON position to raise or lower the windows. Each door has a Power Window switch to control the window for that door. The driver has a Power Window Lock switch that can disable the passenger windows. Power windows will operate for approximately 30 seconds after the Engine Start/Stop button is placed in the ACC or OFF position. However, if either front door is opened, the power windows will not operate even within the 30 seconds.

WARNING

To avoid serious injury or death, do not put your head, hands, or body outside the window while the vehicle is moving.

Information

  • In cold and humid climates, power windows may not operate properly due to freezing conditions.
  • When driving with the rear windows lowered or the sunroof (if equipped) open (or partially open), your vehicle may experience wind buffeting or pulsating noise. This noise is normal and can be reduced or eliminated by performing the following actions. If noise occurs with one or both rear windows open, lower both front windows approximately one inch (2.5 cm). If you hear noise with the sunroof open, slightly close the sunroof.
