For the FCA system to operate properly, always make sure the sensor cover is clean and free of dirt, snow, and debris.
Dirt, snow, or foreign matter on the lens may adversely affect the sensor performance.
NOTICE
- Do not apply a license plate frame or foreign objects, such as a bumper sticker or bumper guard, near the radar sensor. This may adversely affect the radar sensor performance.
- Always keep the radar sensor and sensor cover clean and free of dirt and debris.
- Use only a soft cloth to wash the vehicle. Do not spray water directly onto the sensor or sensor cover under high pressure.
- Be careful not to apply unnecessary force to the radar sensor or sensor cover. If the sensor is forcibly moved out of proper alignment, the FCA system may not operate correctly. In this case, the warning message may not be displayed. Have the vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- If the front bumper is damaged in the area of the radar sensor, the FCA system may not operate properly. We recommend having the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- Use only genuine parts to repair or replace a damaged sensor or sensor cover. Do not paint the sensor cover.
NOTICE
- NEVER install any accessories or stickers on the windshield, or tint the windshield.
- NEVER place any reflective objects (such as white paper or a mirror) on the instrument panel. Any light reflection may cause the system to malfunction.
- Take extreme care to keep the camera away from water.
- NEVER disassemble the camera assembly or strike the camera assembly.
- Playing the car audio system at high volume may prevent the system from detecting warning sounds.
Information
We recommend having the system inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer when:
- The windshield has been replaced.
- The radar sensor or cover is damaged or has been replaced.
