Headlight Delay Function
If the ignition key is turned to the ACC or OFF position while the headlights are on, the headlights (and/or parking lights) remain on for about 5 minutes. However, if the engine is off and the driver's door is opened and closed, the headlights (and/or parking lights) turn off after 15 seconds.
The headlights (and/or parking lights) can be turned off by pressing the lock button on the remote key or smart key twice, or by turning the light switch to the OFF or AUTO position. However, if you turn the light switch to the AUTO position when it is dark outside, the headlights will not turn off.
You can enable or disable the headlight delay function in the User Settings mode on the LCD. For more information, refer to "LCD Display" in this chapter.
NOTICE
If the driver exits the vehicle through another door (other than the driver's door), the battery saver function does not operate and the headlight delay function does not turn off automatically. This may cause battery discharge. In this case, be sure to turn off the lights before exiting the vehicle.
