Key-in Ignition Switch

~1min read

Whenever the front door is opened, the indicator lights up if the ignition key is not in the ON position. The light turns off immediately when the ignition is turned on, or turns off approximately 30 seconds after the door is closed. (If equipped)

WARNING

• NEVER turn the ignition key to the LOCK or ACC position while the vehicle is moving, except in an emergency.
This will stop the engine and cause loss of power steering and brake booster assistance. This may result in loss of steering and braking control, which may lead to an accident.

• Before leaving the driver's seat, always make sure the shift lever is in 1st gear (for manual transmission vehicles) or P (Park, for dual clutch transmission vehicles), apply the parking brake, and turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
Failure to observe these precautions may result in unexpected vehicle movement.

NOTICE

Never use secondary key cylinder covers. This may cause a starting failure due to communication failure.
