Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the under cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Under Cover")
  3. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector (A).
  4. Remove the oil pressure switch (A).

    Tightening Torque: 9.8–11.7 N·m

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between the terminal and the body. If there is no continuity, replace the oil pressure sensor.
  2. Check the continuity between the terminal and the body while pushing the thin wire. If there is continuity even when the thin wire is pushed, replace the switch.
  3. If there is no continuity when a pressure of 49.0 kPa (0.5 kgf/cm², 7.1 psi) is applied through the oil hole, the switch operates correctly. Check for air leakage. If air leaks, the diaphragm is damaged. Replace it.
