Convenient Features of Your Vehicle

Outside Rear View Mirror

~1min read

Always adjust the mirror angles before driving.

Your vehicle is equipped with both left and right exterior rearview mirrors.

The mirrors can be adjusted remotely using the remote switch.

The mirror heads can be folded to prevent damage during an automatic car wash or when driving through a narrow street.

WARNING

  • The right exterior rearview mirror is convex. In some countries, the left exterior rearview mirror is also convex. Objects seen in the mirror are closer than they appear.
  • Use the interior rearview mirror or turn your head and look to determine the actual distance to following vehicles when changing lanes.

WARNING

Do not adjust or fold the exterior rearview mirrors while driving. This may cause loss of vehicle control, resulting in a traffic accident.

NOTICE

  • Do not scrape ice off the mirror; this may damage the glass surface.
  • If the mirror is frozen, do not force the mirror adjustment. Use an approved aerosol de-icer (not engine coolant antifreeze), or a sponge or soft cloth with very warm water, or move the vehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt.
