The ISG system operates under the following conditions.

- Driver's seat belt is fastened.
- Driver's door and hood are closed.
- Brake vacuum pressure is adequate.
- Battery is sufficiently charged.
- Outside air temperature is between -20 °C and 35 °C.
- Engine coolant temperature is not too low.
- System is not in diagnostic mode.
- Steering wheel is not turned too far. (for vehicles with dual clutch transmission)
- Vehicle is driving on a steep slope. (for vehicles with dual clutch transmission)

Information

  • The ISG system is not activated when the activation conditions are not satisfied. In this case, the ISG OFF button indicator illuminates and the auto stop indicator ( ) illuminates yellow on the instrument cluster.
  • If the above indicator remains illuminated on the instrument cluster, we recommend having the ISG system inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
