Dual Wide Sunroof

[A]: Front sunroof control lever, [B]: Rear sunshade control button
If your vehicle is equipped with the dual wide sunroof system, you can slide or tilt the sunroof using the sunroof control lever located on the overhead console. You can also slide the rear sunshade using the rear sunshade control button.
The ignition switch must be in the ON position before you can open or close the sunroof.
The sunroof can be operated for approximately 10 minutes after the ignition key is removed or turned to the ACC or LOCK (or OFF) position.
However, if either front door is opened, the sunroof will not operate even within the 10-minute period.
Information
- In cold and humid climates, the sunroof may not operate properly due to freezing conditions.
- After washing the vehicle or driving in heavy rain, be sure to wipe off all water on the sunroof before operating it.
WARNING
- Never adjust the sunroof or sun visor while driving. This may cause loss of vehicle control and an accident, which may result in death, serious injury, or property damage.
- Make sure that heads, hands, arms, or any other body parts or objects are clear of the sunroof path before operating it.
- Do not extend your head, hands, or body outside the sunroof while driving to avoid serious injury.
- Do not leave the engine running and the key in your vehicle with unattended children. Unattended children may operate the sunroof, which may result in serious injury.
- The sunroof is made of glass and may shatter in an accident. Passengers without proper protection (such as seat belts, CRS, etc.) may be projected through the broken glass and may be seriously injured or even killed.
- Do not sit on top of the vehicle. This may result in injury or vehicle damage.
NOTICE
- Do not continue to operate the sunroof control switch after the sunroof is fully open, closed, or tilted. Damage to the motor or system components may result.
- Make sure the sunroof is fully closed when leaving the vehicle. If the sunroof remains open, rain or snow may enter and wet the interior of the vehicle. In addition, leaving the sunroof open when the vehicle is unattended may invite theft.
