Electric Oil Pump (EOP)

Repair Procedures

Removal

1. 1
   Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

   Remove the under cover. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Engine Room Under Cover")

   Disconnect the EOP connector (A).

   Remove the EOP (B) after removing the bolts (A).

   Tightening torque: 20.6–26 N·m

   

Installation

1. 1
   To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   The existing O-rings must be replaced with new ones. (Do not reuse.) Apply ATF to the new O-ring before installing the EOP into the transaxle.

2. 2
   Check the ATF level after refilling the automatic transmission fluid. (Refer to Automatic Transmission System — "Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)").

   After installation, start the engine and check for any leaks from the EOP connection.
