Repair Procedures

Removal

Hyundai Palisade. Repair procedures
  • Be careful not to damage parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank, and canister) when lifting the vehicle with a lift. (Refer to General Information - Jack Lifting Points and Support Points)
  1. Remove the LH/RH cylinder head and gasket. (Refer to Cylinder Head Assembly - "Cylinder Head")
  2. Remove the water jacket spacer No. 1 (A) and No. 2 (B).

Installation

  1. Install the water jacket spacer No. 1 (A) and No. 2 (B).

    • Insert the spacer, aligning it with the side protrusion inside the block. It must be below the cylinder head installation surface.

  2. Install the LH/RH cylinder head and gasket. (Refer to Cylinder Head Assembly - "Cylinder Head")
