Airbags

~1min read

You can take steps to reduce the risk of injury from airbag deployment. Sitting too close to the airbag significantly increases the risk of injury in the event of deployment. Move your seat as far back from the airbags as possible while still maintaining control of the vehicle.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury associated with airbag deployment, observe the following precautions:

  • Move the driver's seat as far back as possible while still maintaining full control of the vehicle.
  • Move the passenger seat as far back as possible.
  • Hold the steering wheel at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions to reduce the risk of arm and hand injuries.
  • NEVER place any objects or people between yourself and the airbag.
  • Do not allow the front passenger to place their feet on the instrument panel to reduce the risk of leg injury.
