Front Seat

~1min read

The front seat can be adjusted using the switches on the side. Before driving, adjust the seat so that you have easy access to the steering wheel, pedals and controls on the instrument panel.

WARNING

When adjusting the seat, observe the following precautions:

  • NEVER attempt to adjust the seat while the vehicle is moving. If the seat moves unexpectedly, you may lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident.
  • Do not place any objects under the front seats. If objects roll under the driver's feet, they may interfere with access to the pedals and cause an accident.
  • Make sure nothing prevents the seat from positioning and locking properly.
  • Do not leave a lighter on the floor or on the seat. When adjusting the seat, gas from the lighter may be released and cause a fire.
  • Use extreme caution when removing small objects that have become trapped under the seats or between the seat and center console. Sharp edges of the seat mechanism may cut you or injure your hand.
  • If passengers are seated in the rear seats, be careful when adjusting the front seat.

WARNING

To avoid injury:

  • Do not adjust the seat while the seat belt is fastened. Moving the seat cushion forward may cause strong pressure on the abdomen.
  • Do not pinch your hands or fingers in the seat mechanisms while adjusting.
