Repair Procedures

DEPOSIT

  1. Remove the front wheel and tire assembly (A) from the hub.

    Tightening torque: 88.3 ~ 108 N·m

  2. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor connector (A). [2WD only]
  3. Remove the wheel speed sensor cable bracket (B). [4WD only]

    Tightening torque: 6.9 ~ 10.8 N·m

  4. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor mounting bolt (B). [4WD only]

    Tightening torque: 6.9 ~ 10.8 N·m

  5. Loosen the nuts securing the trailing arm, then remove the trailing arm (A).

    Tightening torque: 98.1 ~ 118 N·m

    [ 2WD ]
    (4WD)
  6. Remove the wheel speed sensor cable by loosening the bolt (B).

    Tightening torque: 8.8 - 13.7 N·m

  7. Remove the wheel speed sensor cable bracket bolt (B).

    Torque: 19.6 ~ 29 N·m

  8. Remove the luggage compartment trim. (Refer to Body - "Luggage Compartment Trim".)
  9. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor connector, then remove the front wheel speed sensor.
  10. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.

Inspection

  1. Measure the output voltage between the wheel speed sensor terminal and ground.
  2. Compare the change in wheel speed sensor output voltage with the normal output voltage change specified below.

    T_low: 0.59 V ~ 0.84 V, V_sup: 1.18 V ~ 1.68 V, Frequency range: 1~2500 Hz
