Components and Component Location

1. Front Door Module

Repair Procedures

REPLACEMENT

  1. Remove the front door glass. (Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Glass")
  2. Remove the front door outside handle. (Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Outside Handle Module")
  3. Remove the front door speaker. (Refer to Body Electrical System - "Speaker")
  4. Disconnect the front door main connector (A).
  5. Loosen the outside handle base mounting bolt of the front door (A).
  6. Disconnect the outside mirror connector (A).
  7. Loosen the fixing screws (A) of the front door latch.

    Tightening torque: 6.9 ~ 10.8 N·m

  8. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the front door module (B).

    Tightening torque: 7.8 – 11.8 N·m

  9. Disconnect the door module connectors and the front wiring harness (A).
  10. Remove the front door lock assembly. (Refer to "Front Door" - "Front Door Latch")
  11. Remove the front power window motor. (Refer to Body Electrical System - "Power Window Motor")
  12. Remove the side impact sensor. (Refer to Restraints - "Side Impact Sensor (SIS)")
  13. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
