  • The rear door locks/unlocks simultaneously with the other doors when using the key, transmitter, Smart Key, or the central door lock/unlock button.
  • Only the tailgate unlocks when you press and hold the tailgate unlock button on the transmitter or Smart Key for approximately 1 second.
  • When the tailgate is unlocked, you can open it by grasping the handle and pulling.
  • If you open and then close the tailgate, it will lock automatically. (All doors must be locked.)

Information

In cold and wet weather, the door and door latch may malfunction due to freezing.

WARNING

The tailgate will rise. Make sure no objects or people are near the rear of the vehicle when opening the tailgate.

WARNING

Before driving, make sure the tailgate is securely closed. Failure to observe this may result in damage to the lift cylinders and the tailgate hinges.
