Front Ventilated Seats

~1min read

Type

Type B

The ventilated seat system cools the front seats by blowing air through small ventilation holes in the seat cushion and seatback.

If ventilation is not needed, set the switches to the OFF position.

With the engine running, press the switch to cool the driver's or front passenger's seat (if equipped).

  • Each time you press the switch, the seat ventilation level changes as follows:
  • If you press and hold the switch for more than 1.5 seconds while seat ventilation is active, it turns off.
  • By default, the seat ventilation system is set to OFF when the ignition is turned on.

NOTICE

To avoid damaging the ventilated seats:

  • Use the ventilated seats ONLY when the air conditioner is activated. Prolonged use of the system without the air conditioner on may cause the seat to malfunction.
  • Never clean the seats with solvents such as thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline.
  • Avoid getting liquids on the surface and back of the front seats. This may block the ventilation holes and cause the system to malfunction.
  • Do not place items such as plastic bags or newspapers under the seats. They may block the air intake vents and cause a malfunction.
  • Do not modify the seat covers. You may damage the heating or ventilation system.
  • If the ventilation does not work, restart the vehicle. If it still does not work, we recommend having your vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
