Heated Front Seats
The seat heaters can be activated in cold weather.
WARNING
Even at low temperatures, seat heaters can cause burns, especially with prolonged use. Vehicle occupants must be able to feel if the seat becomes too hot in order to turn it off. Extra caution is necessary for people who cannot feel temperature changes or pain, including the following categories of occupants:
- Infants, children, elderly or disabled persons, or patients under external care.
- People with sensitive or easily burned skin.
- People who are fatigued.
- People under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Patients undergoing treatment may experience drowsiness.
WARNING
When the seat heater is on, NEVER place any objects on the seat that insulate against heat, such as blankets or cushions. This could cause overheating, which may result in burns or damage to the seat.
NOTICE
To avoid damaging the seat heaters:
- Never clean the seats with solvents such as thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline.
- Do not place heavy or sharp objects on the seats.
- Do not modify the seat upholstery. You may damage the heating system.
