Front Seat Head Restraints

The driver's and front passenger's seats are equipped with adjustable head restraints for occupant safety and comfort.

Up and Down Height Adjustment

To raise the head restraint:

1. Pull up to the desired position (1).

To lower the head restraint:

1. Press and hold the lock release button (2) on the head restraint support.

2. Lower the head restraint to the desired position (3).

NOTICE

If the seatback is folded forward with the head restraint installed and the seat cushion is raised, the head restraint may contact the sun visor or other parts of the vehicle.

Removal/Installation

To remove the head restraint:

1. Tilt the seatback (2) forward using the seatback recline lever (1).

2. Raise the head restraint fully.

3. Press the head restraint release button (3) and pull the head restraint up (4).

WARNING

NEVER allow anyone to ride in a seat with the head restraint removed.

To reinstall the head restraint:

1. Recline the seatback.

2. Insert the head restraint posts (2) into the holes while pressing the lock release button (1).

3. Adjust the headrest to the appropriate height.

4. Tilt the seatback (4) forward using the seatback recline lever (3).

WARNING

Always make sure the head restraint locks in place after reinstallation and is properly adjusted.
