Lost Smart Key. Smart Key Precautions

Lost Smart Key

No more than two smart keys can be registered to one vehicle. If a smart key is lost, it is recommended to immediately take the vehicle and the remaining key to an authorized HYUNDAI dealer, or have the vehicle towed if necessary.

Smart Key Precautions

The Smart Key may not operate in the following cases:

• The smart key is located near a radio transmitter, such as a radio station or airport, which may interfere with normal operation of the transmitter.
• The smart key is near a mobile two-way radio system or a mobile phone.
• A smart key of another vehicle is being used near your vehicle.

If the smart key does not operate properly, lock and unlock the door with the mechanical key. If you have a problem with the smart key, it is recommended that you contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

If the smart key is in close proximity to your mobile phone, the signal may be blocked by normal operating signals from your mobile phone. This is especially relevant when the phone is active, such as when making and receiving calls, exchanging text messages, and/or sending/receiving e-mails. If possible, do not keep the smart key and your mobile phone in the same place, such as a trouser or jacket pocket, to avoid interference between the two devices.
